Capetown Pre-Conference of IFLA 2007
The Serials and Other Continuing Resources (SOCR) Section and the University of the Western Cape (UWC) invite you to participate in an exciting experience hearing and discussing about Electronic Resource Management systems (ERMs). The program will cover how ERMs are driving organization change, what they may be evolving into, the challenges they present to the libraries using them, and whether they can be at all useful to libraries who are just developing their online presence.
The opening plenary session will cover the historical development of ERMs by Kimberly Parker, a member of the original Digital Library Federation Electronic Resource Management Initiative group that developed the framework upon which all current ERMs are now constructed.
