The Launch of OKS | Open Knowledge Society
Congratulations to all of the founding members of the Open Knowledge Society. India has long set the standard for economically priced research publications and, more recently, for open access led by the journals of the Indian Academy of Sciences. It is also a great tribute to the memory of Late Dr. T. B. Rajashekar, who did so much to advance access to knowledge through his work at Indian Institute of Science(IISc), Bangalore, India.
We at the Public Knowledge Project wish this innovative new group every success in increasing the focus on greater access to and sharing of knowledge. And we plan to do all that we can to support open access initiatives in India, especially as they touch on our areas of expertise in the utilization of open source software for journals, conferences and harvesters.
Long may you run.

Khosla Family Professor of Education
